Akron Chiropractor: Dr. Tracy Price

Akron Chiropractor, Dr. Tracy Price

It was incredible! After the first chiropractic adjustment I received, I knew I wanted to be a Doctor of Chiropractic. It was a huge weight lifted off my lower back. I was training very hard at the time lifting weights with power lifting and bodybuilding techniques. I had constant "tension" and "pressure" in my lower back. After my first visit I was sitting straighter and the pressure was off my lower back. Although I knew it would take time (like exercising) to get the full physical change, I knew I was on to something that I could be committed to for the rest of my life. What better job could you have than to feel great and make other people feel great naturally.

As I looked more into Chiropractic I realized the specialty doctors of chiropractic had in the anatomy of the human body. This is what attracted me most towards choosing chiropractic as a profession. I visited a local chiropractor in my home town of Burlington, Wisconsin. He impressed me with his knowledge of the human body and his treatment in his state of the art chiropractic facility. He was willing to take me a and another prospective chiropractor to Logan College of Chiropractic to visit the school and see the educational process of becoming a doctor of chiropractic.

After visiting Logan College of Chiropractic I went back to Wisconsin and immediately enrolled in the University of Wisconsin to start my pre chiropractic education. After completing my pre-chiropractic education in December of 1982, I continued my chiropractic education in January 1983. I earned my B.S. in Human Biology from Logan College of Chiropractic in April 1984 and went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic in April of 1986.

The philosophy of my practice is quite simple. Treat patients how you would want to be treated yourself. Chapel Hill Chiropractic Center is a one doctor office. Although unusual in this day and age of multi doctor, big corporation healthcare we have kept it simple.

In my spare time away from the office I enjoy spending time with my two boys. The oldest who is 18 and the youngest who is 13. The greatest part about chiropractic is that it has helped maintain my health so I can continue to have fun and play with my kids.

I now continue on with what originally got me into chiropractic. That is exercising and lifting weights. I think as a doctor you have to set an example of good health. We not only focus on the spine but the over all health of an individual. I continue to get adjusted 2-4 times per month. As well, both my kids get adjusted on a regular basis. They know if they have pains its better to get adjusted than to take a pill or aspirin. They really have said no to drugs.

Enough about me! How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step toward better health.

Dr. Tracy Asks some important questions of interest to Akron residents - Chiropractor Akron Dr. Tracy Asks...

If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
